AERIAL HAMMOCK

Aerial hammock involves learning tricks and transitions in a large silk hammock. It’s been recently made popular through aerial yoga classes and many of the postures and poses are the same. These classes focus less on staying in the same postures and breathing for extended periods, AND MORE ON TRICKS AND TRANSITIONS. WE aim to provide both a cardio workout and a WEIGHT SESSION!

We have classes suitable for all abilities and for some, this is the most gentle entry into aerial as the hammock can be suspended close to the floor and more support offered. There is no weight limit for any aerial discipline, though we most commonly get asked that question for this! This discipline helps build flexibility whilst gently supporting the joints, and also increases upper body and core strength dramatically!

This class proves popular to those not wanting to wear shorts as all skin should be covered. Socks are optional. Avoid baggy clothing as it may become tangled AND ALSO ANYTHING WITH STUDS OR ZIPS AS THEY MAY RIP THE FABRIC.
